Entry for March 22, 2007
As I mentioned yeaturday Ryan had OT. Well, Im super happy to report it was 1 of his best sessions yet!!!! He fell asleep on the way over which I was a little conserned about. But he woke up when I got him out of the car & was fine. We got there just on time & went right in without having to wait which was great. The Ot had Ryan on a large ball on his tummy & Ryan kept his head up & arms propped infont of him to help hold him up. She also had in is side sit positions & forward sit. It was funny because every now & then he would stand up & fight her & would grawl at her. But it was the usual very mad type it was the Im gonna have my way grawl, which cracked both of us up. Then she got him into a swing that is more like the outdoor type swing. Big Eric & I have been wanting to get him one but didnt think he would do well. Well, he did great. Sat there calmly without fighting & let the OT swing him around with out being startled. The OT had but a special tape on his hand to help bring Ryan's thumb out. Well this time it stayed on his hand but it only kept his thumb out for 1 1/2 days. So we're gonna look into a different type of brace. Today we have PT so I'll report tomorrow on that.

I did also want to mention that there are a couple of kiddos from my Yahoo Support group that are in the hospital. They all have HPE as well. Please keep them & their families in prayer. One family inpaticular had to make the life changing decision to take their baby girl off breathing machines. Ramona has survived the night. But only God knows what the future holds.
