OK, so im sitting here trying to remeber all thats happened since I last wrote on Thursday....

Well all I can really remeber about this past weekend was I got food poisening. I ate some shrimp at a birthday party & within 2 hours was sick to my stomach. I spent the rest of the night & most of Sunday on & off the toilet. Ya, lots of fun.

Monday was pretty relaxed with no apointments. Ryan's throwing up & settled down. Im almost positive the virus is gone. He seems to be in a better mood too.

Tuesday we saw an Endrocronalogist (I think thats how its spelled). This doctor is for his diabetes insipidus & hypopituitarism. I really likes her. She explained everything really well & refreshed me on certain things. We also got some good news!...I have to expalin....

When Ryan was born he had what was called a "micro-penis"I think thats self explanitory. But it was due to his hypopituitarism. Anyway thats really common from what Ive gathered from boys with HPE. Anyhow...on Monday the doctor was giving Ryan a full body examination. She asked me ifever had a micro-penis..I said yes & he still did. She remeasured & said "Well not anymore, he's within normal size for a boy his age". I was stunned! Really! I mean you wont understand unless you have a child with major medical complications, but it was the 1st time we have ever been "within normal" limits in anything for his age! I wanted to cry! It was major for me! I think Im still glowing. My Boog-a-boo, the man!!!! LOL!!!

Later we went to take a tour of a place that does swimming, gymnastics (on the olympic range) & other activities for disabled & non disabled kids. It was a great place. Lots of encouraging people. When Ryan gets to the point where he can do some of that stuff Im gonna get him in whatever he can. Even though most dr's would say he wont ever be able to, I know one day he will.

Today we had OT. It went good. Not too much fighting on Ryan's part. He did fall asleep the 1st chance he got & refused to wake up. But the OT informed me that next week we're gonna start water theropy. Im really excited about this. I gotta go this weekend to get him a new suit. The rules are if they have a g-tube they have to have a onesie on & swim trunks. So im gonna look for some kind of surfer suit.

The weather here has been crazy. One day hot the next sunny but windy the next raining. It really needs to make up its mind.

On another note...please pray for all those effected by the shotting in Virgina. Even though I didnt know anyone personally its such a terrible thing that can happen anywhere & to anyone...we all need to pray for protection.
