PT & OT

Ever since Eric Ryan got over his upper repritory infection over a month ago we have noticed a huge difference in him. Ryan would have his moments where he would smile & squeel & be very playful. But lately, he's been like that every single day! I didnt think I could ever be more in love with him!

Ryan is showing so much improvement with tolerating other people, tolerating different textures on his hands, tolerating his AFO's & stander, the list really goes on! Hes even loving being in the chariot at school. He will sleep through circle time but as soon as its over (which he knows is mobility time) he will wake up & smile the whole time he's standing in the chariot! And...Im not the only one noticing! His PT told his OT that Ryan has had somekind of nuerological shift. What that means..I dont know...but its deffinately not a bad thing!

He's not sleeping through therapy anymore & tolerating everything they do with him. And, showing thats he's really trying. He's rolling over better & tried a new walker called "KidWalk" which he did great in. He tried talking 2 steps on his own & smiled while doing it! Ok, you might think thats not really good, but it really is! Ryan has never been in a walking program, only standing. So for him to make attempts at walikng is awesome! His PT was just as excited as I was!

Ryan is even playing with us & really showing he is understanding whats going on around him. Everytime I put on his pants or shorts I tell him, "Help mommy" 8x's out of 10 he will stiffen up & I can slide his bottoms over his big ole bootty & I tell him "Good boy. Thank you for helping mommy". But the other 2x's he curls up his legs & has the biggest smile in the world! I tell him "Ry-Ry thats not helping mommy" & of corse I start laughing. We also do something similar when I take him out of his stroller or car seat. But the key is, he's being more consistant & showing us he's understanding what we're saying! And I thinks its awesome!
